Company History
Guardian has a long and distinguished history of providing
quality services for nearly 60 years. Founded in 1946, Guardian
began as a local household goods moving and storage company.
Guardian entered the Government services and defense contracting
market, and is currently the largest military non-temporary
storage contractor in the Baltimore/Washington area, with approximately
20 million pounds of household effects in storage.
Providing inbound and outbound transport services facilitated
building relationships with hundreds of domestic partners and
over 75 international agencies. Guardian's early success with
the Government in the household goods arena allowed for growth
into many other areas. Guardian has continued to expand on our
core competencies with service offerings to provide automated
systems to the Records and Files Management market, as well
as developing complete Third Party Logistics Services for Inventory
Management, Order Fulfillment and Domestic Distribution. A sampling
of agencies we have provided these services to are; The National
Security Agency, NASA, The Army Space & Building Command,
Internal Revenue Service, Federal Communications Commission
and The National Archives & Record Center. The Guardian
Services Group currently owns, operates or manages over 22 facilities,
providing warehousing, project management or both to our logistics
clients and have maintained over 15,000,000 pounds of storage.
